La Fonera + Specifications / La Fonera + 商品規格

LED's

It has 4 LED's which show a different status depending on what is happening. Here is a short description of how they behave:
La Fonera+ LEDs
La Fonera+ LEDs

POWER – This LED has two different colours.

    * ORANGE: It will appear orange during the booting process, which lasts about 5 minutes. It will also appear orange during a Firmware update which can take up to 20 minutes. NOTE: This light will appear orange and blink when it is in the special “failsafe” mode. You can find more information about the failsafe mode in the Manual.

    * GREEN: Green means that everything is working correctly.

WAN – This LED has one single colour (green) but can show different states that indicates the status of the white coloured port at the router's back.

    * OFF: Indicates that the La Fonera+ router is not correctly connected to the Internet.

    * BLINKING: This is the normal status that shows there is Internet activity.

LAN – This LED has one single colour (green) and can display different states; being the LEDthat indicates the status of the black coloured port at the router's back.

    * OFF: There is no cable connected to the BLACK port (LAN). This means that you did not use the wired configuration or that it is not properly connected or not connected at all. In the case that you want to connect to the Internet using a cable, follow the steps for that type of connection below in the Manual.

    * BLINKING: This is the normal status when the port is being used, which means that there is wired activity.

WIRELESS – This LED has two different colours:

    * GREEN: Indicates that La Fonera + is up and that you should be able to connect to it.

    * ORANGE: Inidcates that a connection to the public SSID (FON_) is taking place.

Ports

The La Fonera+ has two ports allowing you to keep a wired network. In the installation section of the Manual you can find further information about the ports.

La Fonera+ ports

WAN port (White). This port is used to communicate with your ISP's router/modem and subsequently to connect to the Internet. You can use the white network cable that comes with the Fonera+ to perform the connection.

LAN port (Black). You can use this additional port to connect another device (i.e. a computer) to your La Fonera+. This is the way to go if your ISP's router/modem only has one port and you formerly had a wired connection, as you will use it to keep your network configured the same way it was before.
